Disturbing the Peace

Today at work a memo went around about playing music:

--------
Subject: Music within cubicles

Please do not play music through your speakers within the cubicles. If you would like to listen to music, please be respectful of your neighbors and use headphones. Others may not have the same musical tastes as you or may not be able to concentrate with the music on. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
--------

Well, in our department we all listen to music a lot. Loud. So I felt compelled to respond with this snapshot of Mario:

Over. Our. Dead. Bodies.

Mario, not to be outdone, contributed this photo of me:

MUSIC IS LIFE

This blog is all sorts of hot, and your wit astounds me. It must be touching to be a "noticed" blog on blogger!

Sancho,

Congrats on the "Blog of Note listing." Your writing is great. I loved your three essays on jury duty. I lived and worked in San Diego, so I enjoy those passages as well. One thing though, could you delete all the crazy george weinert v postings. They don't have anything to do with your blog and they really detract from the comments section.

I think you might like my rants as well. See me at: http://angryveteran.blogspot.com/

Keep it up!

Our office is having the same problem, except instead of speakers, every other cubicle has a portable heater because some people are complaining they are too cold because the air conditioning has been turned on. I personally think the guy with six heaters plugged into the power strip needs to see a doctor before he sets the place on fire.

Not all venomous will bite you....
But enough of them have been known to do so; therefore, I will remain guarded when in close proximity to them.

It's called discernment!

Mr. Malph -
Blogger doesn't host pictures themselves, unfortunately, so I have to host them on another site (I happen to use .mac from Apple).

Then it's just a matter of inserting the HTML code for an image. Check out Blogger's help section if you need ... help.

Hello!

I like the photographs.

Thank you for giving me (and others) interesting material to read. Reading blogs is a great joy and allows us to experience so much more than the traditional media/literature.

Hilarious, but your blog is a little loud. Could you turn it down? I'm a few cubicles down and I only listen to Chinese violin music. Thanks.

The name of this blog caught my eye because it is also the concept used by Castro and Che in Cuba during their Revolutionary time. I did like the music post with all that copy and paste photo magic; however, that is not what I thought about when reading. What I did think about is yesterdays USA Today's write up about people who have been fired or called to the carpet for their blogs either written on or off the job. So music is the least to worried about while companies rewrite blog policies into employee hand books. Blog and Rock on!

Congradulations to you and yours on becoming a blog on note. I hope someday that I can share the honour. In the meanwhile, I shall do the dance of anticipation.

hey man,

How'd you get to be on the blogs of note? this is a huge question for me, because I'd like to make a hilarious post on the nature of the quest to becoming a "blog of note." Help me with my research if you can.

My blog has all kinds of information on becoming a blog of note, as well as information on how you can get really kicking sound on your answering machine, as well as porn.

Good post! Your co-workers complain about a little music? My co-workers are actually getting caught having sex in conference rooms. A little loud music vs. love stains on the conference room table.

HadesGigas said...

Oh yeah, well my co-workers run cockfights during meetings, and dice games during teleconferences, and we have vandalism fridays, as well as defecation thursdays and copulation mondays.

I work for google

That is awesome, I've got to get that setup! RAWK ON!! ! !

Uh, your crotch. How do I say this? Were you excited by the music?

Click. Heh ;)

I have the opposite problem at work...they sent out that turn down your speakers memo and now everyone is wearing headphones! So in order to get people's attention, I toss my un-headphoned radio at them and scream "FIRE" and run out of the building
