total crap. there is no factual basis for the purported "results" of the iranian elections which this blogger is presenting.

read a book or something. iran is a complex and diverse society, which is more than i can say for the dim-witted reactionary american dipshits who sit around reading zionist hate-editorials every day in the wall street journal and get all hot and bothered about SOMEONE ELSE's rigged elections, as if the outrageous criminal fraud perpetrated in our own 2000 and 2004 elections weren't bad enough.

If in your giddy rush to throw eggs at the israel-appointed boogey-man-du-jour you actually give two shits about the realities of the iranian elections, which i highly doubt, you could start by reading about the role of the Iranian secret service in backing the vastly more popular Ahmedinejad against the ultra-right-wing stooge of Iran's business elites, Mousavi.

Yeah you mean the US map that showed that Bush won the election fair and square? Yeah I'd love to see that map of how it proves that America does not have rigged elections.

I'm not a Bush fan but if you honestly think that the 2000 election was rigged, you have serious mental problems.

That would be a cool and indicative map, if it were true.
You can't make an image like that and then pawn it off as fact.

come on - no way that's accurate - i mean it's probably not a fair elections over there but no way they're stupid enough to rig it in such an obvious way, it's ridecules. what's the source?

Anon,

The first time Bush was elected, the election was not decisive because it was close.

Anon:
The map from 8 years ago is also an example of a free election, regardless of whether the rest of the world likes the results or not.

If the Americans had any courage they would have done the same thing Iran is doing when bush was elected...

This proves nothing, was the Reagan/Mondale election rigged too?

Is the Iran electorial map real or fake? If it's real, that's the most blatant rigging I've ever seen, even more so than the Russian one where Chechnya voted 97% Putin. Sources?

Hey dumb ass who wrote the comment, gore won the popular vote. No map will show that it was rigged only that the supreme court denied a FL recount because it was 'unconstitutional'

These are not accurate numbers of the official results

Go ahead and throw up. . . when you insist on throwing up something that was over and done with, eight years ago. . . that's what I want to do . . . throw up!
You wanted change and you got change. Now, all you want to do is go back to the past. Let it die.

Yes, my Iranian map is (wildly) exaggerated to try to make a satirical point. Josh One's link is very interesting though, and worth reposting: http://www.irantracker.org/analysis/iranian-2009-presidential-election-results-province

I appreciate all the comments, critical and otherwise.

"Hey dumb ass who wrote the comment, gore won the popular vote"
If you knew anything about American politics you know that the Popular vote means nothing, it;s the electoral college that decides who is the winner.
"No map will show that it was rigged only that the supreme court denied a FL recount because it was 'unconstitutional'"
That's funny because there was a recount in Florida. In fact there was two recounts. The first took place because people thought that voters were skewed when the news broadcaster in Florida reported that Gore prematurely won, then there was a recount because of how close the both were to winning the Electoral votes. In the end Bush won by about 537 votes.

I guess it's too late to prove I got the satire, but I did.

Read Greg Palast. End of.

Daniel you are obviously an idiot. Bush stole the election. It's too bad that your brains can't comprehend the subject of fraud.

Daniel said...

Well thank you for providing evidence of this, you've obviously convinced everyone here that Bush stole the election but you have factual records of the event as well as proof that I cannot comprehend it. Regardless of the fact that I have posted evidence contrary to this I am still wrong due to the fact that you are right because you say that right; circular logic is always easy to spot. Ergo how can we trust anything you have to say about rigging elections?

P.S. Humans are born with one brain, not several "brains".

bush evil. he stolez things. olbermann told me so in my dreams.

YAAR! ANONYMOUSE SMASH! BUSH MAKE ANONYMOUSE BRAIN HURTE!

Every one knows the election was rigged.
but Never mind the election in iran...You know what the real issue is here? It's ignorance and hate!
It's amazing how the angry comments here bring out zionists and Israel scapegoats at the drop of a hat. Many of the posts on here are from people who are hate-filled racists, blaming a tiny democratic country with the worlds ills. And really just hiding and actually blaming the race of that country as somehow controlling the planet and yet there are only 14m jews on the planet..Read, listen and be tolerant..wherever the anger and blame comes from (as on these comments here) is where the problems really lie...

Sandmonkey, as painful as it might be, the election was legitimate. The humans bused in from the countryside to bust reformer skulls in Teheran are the same humans who deposed the Shah.

Lastly, for the one Anon soul, please understand how the US government works. We don't live in a democracy but instead a Republic. That's why the popular vote don't mean jack. Nothing like an American to speak to things purportedly stolen and not even know the construct of the US of A.
